French Speaking Accountant

Our client is an international company that is currently looking for a French Speaking Accountant.

Role information

As a key member of the Accounting team, the General Ledger Accountant for the countries group, will play an important role in the preparation of the monthly accounts, by accurate maintenance of all the ledgers for France, Belgium and Hungary Your main responsibilities will include:

• Management of day to day accounting for Belgium, France and Hungary
• Ensure that General Ledger entries are properly recorded in line with the accounting standards and ensure that local accounting standards can be accommodated.
• Sub-ledgers are closed in line with the global timetable and comprehensive reconciliations are produced for all the Balance Sheet accounts.
• Preparation and review of the month end accounts with prior consolidation with the manager in line with the global timetable.
• Fixed Asset maintenance and reconciliations
• VAT Returns and reconciliations
• Inter company reconciliations
• Assist in all financial audits and preparation of the reconciliations from US GAAP management accounts to the local statutory accounts.

Requirements

To succeed you will be educated to degree standard or part qualified ACCA/CIMA
You will have accounting experience in a multi currency environment, and preferably have French language skills
You will have advance Excel skills, preferably with experience of Lawson Accounting. Your attributes will include excellent analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to work well independently or as part of a team
You will be self-motivated, eager to grow professionally and be committed to self-development.



Salary and additional information

Salary: up to £30,000 depending on experience
